The Metal Gear Solid franchise has always been orientated around the single player campaign and that is what I have loved about the developers, instead of giving us a slap-dash single player campaign and then concentrating on multiplayer because of future DLC, they have stayed true to their fan base and delivered exemplary single player campaign experiences. Perhaps Hideo Kojima thinks that it is about time for the MGS franchise to evolve, and this time around he has included a "vast" multiplayer experience. In a recent interview with CVG, Kojima gives us a bit more information regarding his plans for the MGS franchise.

Now that E3 if officially over, it is time to reflect on the masses of games and information we were bombarded with over the last few days. It has been a lot to take in and looking back I think that all 3 gaming giant companies had a strong E3 show, of course all gamers will have their favourite moment, company conference and game but in this article I will be discussing my top 10 games of E3. With the flooding of FPS games in the market, it would be easy to simply pick the flood of FPS at E3 but I wanted a more fair, even and varied list that truly demonstrates games creativity and innovation as well as epic storylines and jaw-dropping graphics, but to be honest one title in particular looks so much fun, I couldn't not put it in my top 10.

I have compared Microsoft's Xbox One console against Sony's Playstation 4 and their main features, now it is the turn of the controllers. A little while ago I did a feature on the Xbox One's new controller features but this time around I will be comparing it to the Dualshock 4 controller. I have always preferred the Xbox controller to the Playstation's, in my opinion they have always felt a lot more solid, comfortable and had more weight (which I prefer), I even found the original Xbox's 'bearclaw' pad relatively comfrotable, but did much prefer the 'S' pad upon it's release.

E3 is primarily all about games and hardware and so is easy to forget 3rd party manufacturers that also display their own products, namely this year are some interesting accessories that integrate Xbox One and PS4 controllers with smartphones. NYKO announced 'Smart Clip' which allows for connectivity between next-gen console and Xbox 360 controllers with your beloved smartphone device. Smart Clip will be released for the Xbox 360 first with next-gen editions following shortly after.

Skylanders sweeped the gaming world back in 2011 and ever since has shown no signs of going anywhere, anytime soon. When I first found out about Skylanders: Spyro's Aventure, I thought the whole concept was a stroke of genius, from a business, gaming and collecting point of view. Of course, young ones are going to want to collect the entire set and with the requirement of needing specific 'classes' to complete the game, they were really on to a money maker.

Now that the next-gen Xbox One has been fully revealed and is set to hit stores before the end of the year, it is time to talk peripherals for the console, more specifically gaming headsets. I started using gaming headsets roughly 5-6 years ago and I love using them, I actually have a surround sound set for my TV but still prefer to use gaming headsets, I feel that they help you to concentrate more and immerse you in to the gameplay more too.

We all knew that Xbox and Playstation would go head to head at this year's E3, (not to say that nintendo are completely out of the picture) but in this article I will be comparing the two power-house companies Microsoft and Sony, and there new next-gen consoles. Namely their features, functions and appeal to the gamer will be compared and analysed by a gamer of 20 years. It is safe to say that both Microsoft and Sony had a strong presence at E3, the general feeling amongst gamers and the gaming industry is that Playstation had the greatest appeal and therefore took the E3 crown, but we'll see why this might be true and why Microsoft might have taken a turn for the worse.

So far we have been treated to two trailers for Batman: Arkham Origins, but both of those have been CGI trailers without any in-game footage at all. However, at E3 we were shown a demo of the Dark Knight in action and it doesn't disappoint. In Arkham Origins, the Black Mask is the Dark Knight's main advisory and he has put a hefty price on his head, $50 million goes to who ever can take him out. We know that Black Mask has hired 8 eight assassins to take out the Dark Knight, on Christmas Eve of all nights, and three of those have so far been revealed as Deathstroke, Deadshot and Bane.
